Water interaction
Untreated biochar can absorb mixing water. Our treatment has improved workability relative to untreated biochar in development formulations.
Biochar holds carbon originally captured by biomass. Our proprietary treatment changes how it interacts with cement and mixing water, creating an additive designed to replace part of the cement while keeping that carbon in the product.

Agricultural residues and wood waste provide the starting point. These biomass resources can be converted into biochar, giving their biogenic carbon a new material use.

Development testing has shown improved compressive strength relative to milled biochar. Performance in a finished product is assessed against the manufacturer’s control mix.
A dry, dust-free product designed to work with larger biochar particles and conventional mixing, without a separate pre-soaking step.
Results depend on feedstock, formulation and application. Selected formulations have achieved up to 20% cement replacement; this is not a universal replacement level. Independent testing and product-specific certification are in development.
